The Ostaicoechea Needle, is the most famous of the Needles of Tajahierro. It's located in the  Cobarrobles pass, about 20 minutes walking from the cable car of Fuente Dé. It's an easy ascent composed of four pitches, perfect to get into multi-pitch climbing in the Peaks of Europe and enjoy the great atmosphere of this summit and its surroundings.

The first pitch with its very good holds will grab you from the very first instant. The second and third ones will give you the opportunity to practice "chimney" climbing, which is a must in mountain climbing. The easy but exposed last pitch will lead us to the narrow summit where we'll enjoy stunning views over the Áliva y Fuente Dé valley. Finally, we'll practice abseiling techniques in three easy sections to get back down.
