MURCIANA 78

The "Murciana" as the "Rabadá Navarro" are the routes more climbed by those people who want to try this big wall of the famous west face for the first time. It´s a route that his difficulty is very similar as the Rabadá Navarro but totally different. The Rabadá is more classic route, searching the weakness of the wall ( dihedral, cracks…) but the Murciana, it´s more direct and his climb goes around vertical walls and the type of climb is more ¨sport-climbing¨. All of the pitches of this route are absolutely extraordinary as well as his rock quality.

The alpine climb of the two first pitches will take us to the big famous roof of the route. The next two pitches we will overcome them very easy because of all the bolts we will find, but we have to be careful and not waste all the energy. After the next two easy pitches with an incredible rock we will arrive to the famous big traverse of the Rabadá Navarro and we reached the half of the route. The next pitch, is a vertical wall with an extraordinary rock but with poor protecting points. After this, the difficulty goes down but still more than 200 meters left to the summit, where we will start to be tired but very motivated after undertaking the climb of this famous west face of the Naranjo de Bulnes by one the most famous and coveted route in our country.
